- ADVENT SEASON (12/1/24 – 12/24/24) – Advent is a four-week season in the Church calendar dedicated to a celebration of the Earthly birth of Jesus but also a preparation and anticipation for His second arrival, or “advent.” On each of the four Sundays preceding Christmas, an Advent candle is lit. The 4 candles of Advent names are hope, love, joy, and peace, representing the virtues Jesus brought us. We are in the third week of Advent with the Theme of JOY!
